Cloudy Skies

I enjoy watching the sky on cloudy ,stormy days,the clouds are so awesome.Sometimes they look just plain anger and sometimes they are beautiful.I took these pictures last week when the clouds blew in.They were what I call beauties they have so much puffiness to them and in a few they look like they are rolling.On clear days when the clouds are puffy and white the grand kids ,their mom and I will look for shapes in the clouds.I will bet there are quite a few of you out there who remember laying out under the clouds and hunting pictures in the sky.That is one of my fondest memories as a kid,I did it with my children ,and now I get to do it with my grandchildren.
This my sound strange to a lot of people but when hurricane Ike was coming here it was really cloudy and stormy.I was sitting out on my porch watching the clouds moving in and I looked out in the sky and saw the most wonderful picture I have ever seen in the clouds.At first I saw a hand in the clouds and I looked twice, then in that hand was an angel standing there.This very beautiful cloud angel was holding hurricane Ike in her hand.I knew then and there we were going to be spared the damage from hurricaine Ike that we received during hurricaine Katrina.We got a lot of damage in our area from Katrina and was scared Ike was going to move in and do more,but when I saw that angel standing there in that hand I knew we were going to be alright.

The clouds in these pictures look as if they are just hanging right above the ground.They are so thick and beautiful and they were very full of rain that day.

This is a picture of my husbands 18 wheeler,he was hauling hummers for the army.The grand kids were so excited when they got home from school and saw this in our front yard.They played on them all weekend.When he got to the base to unload them one of the guys unloading ran into the front of my husbands truck and caved in the front bomper with one of the hummers.He was so aggravated because they ran over his truck.

1.First let me thank you, Charlotte,, for giving me a shot at this. Remember I admit to being strange!1. Of all the well known people past or present, who would you pick to be your imaginary spouse? and why ?
2. If you saw a homeless person siting on the street. What would you do ?
3. If you were a flower which one would you be ?
4. If some one told you they were a witch or a prince who once was a frog what would you say or do?
5. 1. If you were one The Walton's or the Brady bunch which character would you be and why? If you are too young for those shows, choose another show we will be familiar with and answer same question applying to that show.

1.I would pick Elvis Presley,I have always loved his music and he is a Mississippian just like me.

2.I would take him or her out to a nice meal and buy them a warm coat.

3.A Sunflower,this is my favorite flower and it is so tall,gracious and beautful.

4.If they were a witch I would ask them to teach me about witch craft,if it were a prince that was once a toad ,I would ask them to tell me way they were turned into a toad in the first place.

5.John Boy Walton,he was always there for his family and friends when they needed him and he had a wonderfully creative mind.

Blooming Tuesday

Well there are not many blooms in my yard as of right now.I do have some quite cute little weeds blooming with all the warm weather we have been having so I decided I would just show you the cute blooms from the weeds.I can only tell you what one of them are and that is this little purple one.It is wlid clover and it makes a pretty little flower that I just leave in my flower gardens when it appears.I do have one flowering bush that is blooming to early but it is getting beautiful and that is my Jasmine. blooming Wild Clover

Show and Tell Friday Cross Stitch Pictures

Years ago the craft I was doing was cross stitch,I have not crossed stitched in years,but this is a set of pictures that I cross stitched.They were done back in 1988.When I saw the pattern I knew that I would have to cross stitch them.I cross stitched three pair,the set I own,a set for my good friend as a house warming present,and one set that I sold.My eyes are so off now(thats what age does for you)that I probably could not see to do this kind of work.This pair hang in my sewing room,this was something I was so proud of and it will always be here for me to admire.
